How to style a beehive in under 5 minutes

This is a super fun, retro hairstyle that is so easy to do! There are different ways to do the beehive, but the one I am going to show you is really simple, quick and doesn’t require teasing your hair at all! Before I start I will say, that it does work a little better with hair that hasn’t been recently washed, though it can totally work with clean hair too.

What you’ll need:

Hair band
Brush or comb
A handful of bobby pins
Hairspray

First, start with your hair down.

Next, separate a section of hair at the top of your head. This will be the front of your beehive so make sure it isn’t super thin. And then pin that section out of the way and we’ll come back to it later.

Then, take the remaining hair in the back and bring it up as high as you can and put it in a pony tail.

Twist your ponytail into a bun and use a few bobby pins to hold it in place (it doesn’t need to be a perfect bun at all just as long as it is secure).

Next, release the section in front that you pinned at the start and pull it up and over your bun. With the front section covering your bun, tuck the ends up in the back behind it and pin them in place.

Finish with a little hairspray and your done!
